New Features & Improvements - December 2nd, 2025
We've been busy shipping some exciting improvements to help you manage payroll, compliance, and project workflows more effectively. Here's what's new this month!
Pay Dashboard Gets Smarter 💰
Your pay dashboard now shows a clear overview of backpay obligations across all your jobs. No more hunting through individual job pages to understand your backpay situation - see at a glance:
- How much backpay you owe per job
- How much backpay has already been applied
- What's left to allocate
You'll see "Backpay Applied" amounts that sum up all adjustments you've allocated toward each job. Need more detail? Click the question icon to jump directly to the full PWA compliance breakdown for that time card, or navigate straight to the job pay page for that pay period.

Asset Management Made Easy 📋
We've introduced a powerful new asset grid system that adapts to your workflow. Whether you're viewing company-specific assets or need a general overview across multiple companies, the grid automatically shows the right information:
- Company-specific views when working within a single company context
- General views that include company names for cross-company oversight
- Full sorting and filtering capabilities like our other data grids
- Tabulate your data for export when you need it

WH-347 Export Improvements 📄
Your certified payroll exports just got more accurate and flexible:
Real SSN Data
No more placeholder "XXXX" values! WH-347 exports now include actual Social Security Numbers when available, making your payroll documentation more complete and compliant.
Project-Level V2 Eligibility
When exporting certified payroll reports at the project level, you can now see exactly which WH-347 version each job qualifies for. The system takes an all-or-nothing approach: if all jobs in your project meet the requirements for the 2025 V2 form, you can export a project-level V2 report. If any jobs are missing requirements, you'll see exactly what needs to be addressed to get all jobs V2-ready.

Enhanced PWA Penalties Tracking ⚖️
We've significantly expanded the PWA penalties dashboard to give you complete visibility into compliance requirements:
Apprentice Participation Monitoring
The penalties dashboard now includes a dedicated Apprentice Participation Requirements section. This shows penalties assessed for failing to participate in approved apprenticeship programs—a critical compliance area that's separate from labor hours and ratio requirements. Summary cards have been updated to show participation penalties alongside your existing penalty tracking, giving you a complete picture of your apprenticeship compliance at both job and project levels.
Federal Backpay Penalties
For IRA-covered projects, you can now track federal backpay penalties owed to the IRS. The system calculates penalties per worker for prevailing wage underpayments and shows:
- Number of workers affected by penalties
- Workers with existing waivers
- Total penalty amounts with different rates for intentional vs. unintentional violations
The display accounts for different penalty rates based on whether violations are considered intentional disregard, and you can select specific years to review penalties over time. This works at both the job and project level.
Complete Event Subscription System 🔔
We've revamped the notification system with a powerful new event subscription platform that gives you granular control over what updates you receive. Instead of broad notification settings, you can now follow specific people, teams, and items that matter to your work:
What you can follow:
- Specific safety forms - Subscribe to individual form definitions and get notified when new submissions are created
- Users - Follow colleagues to stay updated on their activities and submissions
- Groups/Teams - Follow entire teams to track group activities and submissions
- Watched items - Watch specific projects, assets, or other items for relevant updates
How it works:
- Targeted subscriptions - No more getting every notification - choose exactly what you want to follow
- Flexible delivery - Receive notifications via email with more delivery options coming
- Context-aware - Notifications include relevant details like user names and submission context
- Easy management - Subscribe and unsubscribe from the items you're watching
Where to access:
- Safety form definitions have a new "Subscriptions" page for managing form-specific notifications
- Follow users and groups through their profile pages
- Manage all your subscriptions through the event subscriptions interface

These improvements represent our ongoing commitment to making complex payroll and compliance workflows more intuitive and efficient. We're already working on additional enhancements to the pay dashboard that will make backpay allocation even more streamlined.
