New Features & Improvements - July 1st, 2025
Hey everyone! We've got some exciting updates rolling out that we think you're going to love. Let's dive into what's new:
The Map Got a Major Upgrade! 🗺️
We've completely revamped our map experience! The new map is faster, smoother, and packed with better features. You'll notice improved performance when navigating around, and the interface feels more responsive than ever. This isn't just a small tweak - it's a complete overhaul that makes finding and viewing sites and features much more intuitive.

Site & Feature Filtering 🔍
You now have the ability for advanced filtering like specifying the site & feature types that you care about. This narrows the map to exactly the content of interest & allows you to dive deeper into DSPTCH's comprehensive asset database.
Search Just Got Smarter 🔍
We heard you! Address searches now work exactly as you'd expect them to. When you search for an address, the map will zoom right to that location - no more hunting around. Plus, we've cleaned up the search results display to remove redundant information and made the keyboard shortcuts help section easier to read.
💰 Enhanced Payment Tracking & Compliance
We've made significant improvements to how you track and manage worker payments, especially for prevailing wage (PWA) jobs:
Worker Pay Summary on Job Pages
Get a complete overview of worker compensation directly on the job pay page! The new worker pay summary section shows:
- Total payment obligations - See expected vs actual payments at a glance
- Individual worker details - Track hours worked, pay rates, and compliance status for each worker
- Real-time compliance indicators - Visual badges show whether workers are meeting PWA requirements
- Smart pagination - Easily navigate through large teams without overwhelming the interface

Actual vs Expected Pay on Time Cards
We've added the ability to compare actual payments against expected amounts right on individual time cards. This powerful feature helps you:
- Verify payment accuracy - See expected and actual wages side-by-side
- Track fringe benefits - Monitor both wage and fringe payments in real-time
- Identify discrepancies - Quickly spot any payment shortages or surpluses
- Ensure compliance - Stay on top of prevailing wage requirements with clear visual indicators

Regional Prevailing Wage Overtime Support 💰
We've expanded our prevailing wage calculations to support regional requirements! The system now tracks both federal and regional PWA overtime, ensuring workers receive the most generous overtime benefits required by their specific jurisdiction. This enables robust DSPTCH support for state-specific programs such as California's SURGE and Illinois's SHINES Act requirements.
Enhanced API Security 🔐
For our API users, we've introduced a new scopes system for API keys. This gives you more granular control over what each API key can access, making your integrations more secure and giving you peace of mind about who can do what with your data.
Apprenticeship Work Process Categories with Real-Time Updates ⚡
Managing apprenticeship work process categories just got a whole lot smoother. When you create or delete categories, the page updates instantly without a full refresh. It's those little quality-of-life improvements that make your workflow just that much better!
More Accurate Payroll Calculations 📊
We've added support for custom annual periods in payroll mappings. This means if your organization uses non-standard pay frequencies, the system will now calculate annualized amounts correctly. No more manual adjustments needed!
Task Reminders Field Moved 📝
A small but helpful change - we've repositioned the task reminders field to a more logical location in the interface. Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference in daily use!
Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements 🛠️
As always, we've squashed some bugs and made things run more smoothly. The system should feel snappier overall, especially when working with large datasets.
We're always working to make your experience better, and these updates are just the beginning. As always, if you have feedback or run into any issues, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.
Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦
